Classification and structure of magnetic powder brake
According to the power supply of the excitation coil, there are two main types of magnetic powder brake products: coil rotating type and coil static type . Coil Rotary Rotary coils are powered by a slip ring mounted on the shaft. Due to the unreliable electrical connection method and the possible imbalance of the coil during high-speed rotation, vibrations may occur. This type of product is rare Applications, most of the products on the market currently use coil stationary type. Magnetic powder brake is based on electromagnetic principle and uses magnetic powder to transmit torque. It has a substantially linear relationship between the exciting current and the transmission torque. It can transmit a certain torque under the condition that has nothing to do with the slip, and has the advantages of fast response speed, simple structure, no pollution, no noise, no shock vibration and energy saving. It is a multi-purpose, high-performance automatic control element. Magnetic powder brakes are widely used in various machines for different purposes of braking, power test loading, unwinding tension control, etc.
There are two types of coil stationary products: case stationary and case rotating. For products with a stationary casing, the stationary coil is located outside the rotor, and for products with a rotating casing, the stationary coil is located inside the rotor. According to the shape of the working surface of the output rotor, the commonly used products are divided into cylindrical rotor, cup rotor and disc rotor. Cylindrical rotors are generally used for large and medium-sized products, and the structure is relatively simple; cup rotors are generally used for shell rotating products, which have good heat dissipation and large slip power; and disc rotors are generally used for miniature products and are suitable for precision control applications.
Precautions for using magnetic powder brake
1. Please pay attention to moisture. If the magnetic powder gets wet, its performance may become unstable, so be careful not to let oil or moisture penetrate into the inside. Especially when mounted on a gearbox, the oil will penetrate the shaft through the shaft, so it must be completely sealed with a film.
2. Please pay attention to the surface temperature. The maximum surface temperature caused by continuous operation is 90 degrees or less during operation. When the maximum temperature is exceeded, durability will be greatly reduced. Be sure to use the above-mentioned limit temperature as the standard, and keep it within the allowable sliding working rate during use.
